Sarah-Jane McNuff

From a start in direct insurance coding large data models, I’ve spent most of my career in the fast-paced world of reinsurance. I have the privilege of leading and developing a diverse team of talented actuaries at Aon while also supporting our dynamic clients, both of whom continually challenge and inspire me to grow. In addition, I have taken on the exciting role of leading the adoption of AI across our analytics teams globally. These complementary roles ensure I am always learning and developing practical, forward-thinking, and impactful solutions for a rapidly evolving market.

I was truly honoured last year to receive the IFoA President’s Award which recognised my contribution to the profession but—more importantly—broadened my perspective by enabling me to work with actuaries from different specialities on a project for an NHS Trust.

Outside of work, I’m a tennis-, swim- and hockey-mum to three young children who like to provide “stress tests” of a different kind! I mentor University maths students and fundraise for educational resources. When time allows, I love exploring new cuisine, dancing like no one is watching and playing padel (enthusiastically yet poorly!)”
