Rupal Mepani

Rupal is a Senior Consultant at Hymans Robertson. She has more than 10 years of experience in pensions consulting, advising a wide range of Trustee and Corporate clients. She spent the last part of this period helping Trustees on their de-risking journeys with the goal to achieve buy-out. This sparked her interest in bulk annuity pricing and the life insurance industry.

She joined Just Group and worked as a DB Pricing Actuary for seven years (and later as Head of Technical Pricing).  She learned the tricks of the trade of pricing bulk annuities and handling the risks that come with complicated pension benefits. Pensions continued to be part of her role, even coping with the joys of GMP Equalisation – the gift that keeps on giving!

She now combines her expertise as a pensions actuary and a life insurance professional at Hymans Robertson. Her focus is on providing transaction support to various insurers and reinsurers and helping new entrants with their entry into the bulk annuity market.

Outside of work, Rupal enjoys spending time with her 7-year-old daughter, who keeps on her toes! She also loves good food and travels when she can (usually around the far east), with her foodie husband!
