Nell McRae

I currently help corporate and LGPS pension schemes with investment and funding decisions in my role as Senior Investment Consultant. I have particular experience in working with large open schemes, and as an actuary and through working with many clients under a joint services approach, I have a really detailed understanding of the relationship between investment strategy and liabilities. My role has certainly evolved over the last decade with increased focus on climate related issues and how pension schemes must plan for, and can support, the energy transition. Recently I have been helping clients develop their thinking and plans in relation to net zero targets and supporting others on their journey to buy-out. I’m driven by continually learning new skills and this extends to my personal life as I’ve picked up new interests over the years from baking, to sports and the rash pandemic purchase of a drum kit!
