Michelle Lister

I’m Michelle and I am so excited to have been nominated for this award!
I have been working in the life insurance industry since the year 2000 where I stated my career training to be an actuary at Royal London. As well as making friends for life, I qualified as an actuary and held roles in both actuarial servicing and financial reporting.

In 2007, I decided to try consulting – I was one of the founding members of the Manchester PwC Life Actuarial Consulting team and spent an amazing 14 years there covering secondment roles, audit work, (including being a reviewing actuary), M&A, reporting transformation and assurance projects.

I returned to industry to lead management reporting and latterly financial reporting at M&G before joining Aon in 2023 where I am building the Life Actuarial Consulting Practice. This opportunity to build a new business within a large corporate is the job I’ve always dreamed of, I am loving every minute!

Outside of work, I love travelling with my family, running (I have done some crazy fundraising running challenges) and walking my black Labrador Alfie.
