Kishan Patel

I am very surprised and honoured to be nominated for Life & Health Actuary of the year!

I have worked in the Life Insurance field for over 15 years.  I graduated from UCL in 2008 with a first-class honours in Maths with Economics.  I then worked in New York for a year for Citi Private bank as an intern.  I started on the Actuarial path in 2010, qualified in 2017 after a hard 7 year slog!  I currently work at KPMG, having previously worked at M&G and Equitable Life.  My experience is primarily in With-Profits, remediation and reinsurance.

I am a keen volunteer helping on the SIAS committee and the Life Conference organising committee.  I am also a school governor where I am currently the chair of the finance committee.  I am a keen tennis player, and I am a prolific google reviewer where I review anything from Restaurants to museums.
