Jyotsna Kaushik

I am a Consulting ALM Actuary, currently working with Phoenix Group. In the past I have worked across consultancies and industry. A mathematician by education, I am a qualified Actuary with over 16 years of experience across Investments, Pricing, Modelling and Consulting in Life Insurance, and a specialism in ALM and Capital Management. Starting my actuarial career in India, I have been based in the UK since 2012. I am one of the founder members and current President of Indian Actuarial Network UK. A firm believer in the philosophies of ‘Vasudhaiv Kutumbkam’ and ‘Ubuntu’ I am passionate for the causes of connecting and sharing. Outside work, I love to spend time with my two young kids, practice Sivananda Yoga, am a running enthusiast, a movie buff and love to travel. 

As an Actuary working in Investments I feel intellectually stimulated by the idea of addressing real-life financial problems and performing real-life calculations to create real-life solutions. The range of opportunities, roles and countries that an actuarial degree helps you explore is extremely rewarding.
