Amar Randhawa

Craig is a senior consultant in the Pensions business unit of Hymans Robertson. Since his qualification as an actuary in 2017, he has split his time between trustee and corporate clients ranging in size from £100m to £25bn. In the past couple of years, he has led teams advising on projects such as pension scheme mergers, buy-ins, corporate transactions, and out-of-cycle funding negotiations.

Craig has been actively involved within the profession for several years, and he was elected to the Council of the IFoA in 2020. Since then he has been heavily involved in progressing the IFoA’s efforts in data science; from developing the Certificate in Data Science to launching the IFoA’s data science digital community.

Outside of work, Craig has taken his actuarial skills to wider non-executive roles; he is a board member and the chair of the Finance Committee of Perth College, and is a Director of Air Services Training Ltd. In his spare time, Craig loves sports of all kinds, although only plays when it’s sunny (not very often in Scotland!).
