Firstly, I’m so pleased to be nominated for this award – so thank you!

I began my career as a student at a large with profits insurer and gained a huge range of experience (and many lifelong friends) in different roles during my time there.  In 2010 I moved into consultancy, and I now lead the Life & Health actuarial team at Broadstone, supporting insurers of all shapes and sizes including mutuals and health protection providers where, for some, I act as Chief Actuary.

As a consultant, I appreciate the variety of my day-to-day work and the people I’m lucky enough to work with. I enjoy collaborating with clients and other stakeholders to help drive and shape strategic direction, balancing a technical approach with operational practicalities. I’m a strong advocate of the contribution that health insurers make in supporting public health and wellbeing and support the sector wherever possible.

When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, outside preferably!
